Don and J.Henry were a blast! Well worth the trip out there. This humble brewey is destined for greatness. The beers were great and the atmosphere so cool. Make sure you get the"PowerPoint" presentation if you head out there! Thanks for a great afternoon guys!
Very friendly owners and workers. Have fire to sit by outside and great beer. Also local artists display and sell their creations.
You'll be driving through the middle of nowhere past cows and open fields when suddenly there is an impressive chunk of culture on a corner. One of the first trail-blazer breweries in the Upper Cumberland and still consistently one of the best. The tap room gives free samples and the staff is very laid-back but it's clear they care about what they're doing and that they love their jobs. Calfkiller kills it!
No words can describe the experience I had at this brewery. Not only are their brews amazing, but everyone who works there are the greatest people. Ever. Don and Dave have a sitting goldmine and I'm just so honored to have been able to meet and become friends with everyone! It's a smaller facility with the most beautiful "hang out " area ever. Tables and benches line the patio area so you can grab a growler and enjoy the beautiful Tennessee weather! Couldn't ask for a more beautiful place. A MUST VISIT IN TENNESSEE!!!!
After visiting over 50 craft breweries all over the US, Calfkiller is now in my top 3! I can't wait to visit Tennessee again just to enjoy this brewery. The beer is fantastic and if possible, the staff is even better than the beer! If you are visiting Nashville or Cookeville or any surrounding areas, definitely add this brewery into your itinerary!
